Instructions for applying LOPROX TS or Gel

Following these guidelines will help you get the most from your treatment

  • Wash and dry the affected skin thoroughly. Apply LOPROX to the infected area twice daily or as directed by your doctor.
  • Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes, such as inside of the nose and mouth. LOPROX is for external use only.
  • Continue the treatment for the length of time prescribed by your doctor even if your symptoms have gone away. You may see fast and significant improvement within the first week, but it is important to continue treatment to increase the chances of eliminating the infection altogether.
  • Call your doctor if the area where you applied LOPROX becomes more irritated (increased redness, itching, burning, blistering, swelling, or oozing).
  • Notify your doctor if there is no improvement within 4 weeks.
